Why marine electrical work is its own trade
Shipboard electrical work is not the same as an onshore installation. Humidity, salt, vibration and temperature swings wear equipment faster. Spaces are tight and every stop is expensive. Installations must also meet classification society and owner requirements.
A marine electrician has to know shipboard systems, work fast and leave a compliant installation. That is exactly what our team does.
What we do on board
- Ship electrical troubleshooting and repair: switchboards, power circuits, lighting, control systems
- Modifications to existing installations: new circuits, relocated equipment, updated drawings
- Installation and connection of new equipment
- Quality control and compliance checks
- Site supervision during technical stops and dry dock work
One team from diagnosis to commissioning
We design, build, install and commission ourselves. When a repair needs a new panel, we build it in our shop. When a system needs an upgrade, we handle the engineering and drawings, then the commissioning.
Across the St. Lawrence and the Great Lakes
Our technicians are based in Saint-Pie, Quebec, and in Hamilton, Ontario, so we reach vessels quickly along the whole St. Lawrence and Great Lakes corridor.
